Richmond Regional Home Educators Graduation

The RRHE Graduation is a formal, Christian ceremony dedicated to creating a wonderful graduating experience, full of memories for both the graduates and their parents,  with the goal to ultimately glorify God and His providence in detail and spirit.

RRHE Graduation is unique in our local area because the graduation will celebrate both the accomplishments of the graduate and the sacrifices of parents in their education journey.  All parents take an active part of the RRHE graduation ceremony. Parents enter in procession just ahead of the graduates to their reserved seating. As their graduate walks on stage, the parents join them to present a gorgeous diploma (part of the package) and pausing to capture this joyous moment with a photo together before returning to their seats. At the close of the graduation, the parents rise and meet their graduate in the aisle to walk together out of the sanctuary. An unlimited number of guests can join parents and graduates to celebrate the start of a new, exciting life journey. Your RRHE graduation package includes several special mementos of the day including professional photos, a copy of the ceremony, and a slide show of the graduates’ photos.

Meet This Year’s Graduation Coordinator:

Crickett Brown

Richmond Regional Home Educators is delighted to announce that Crickett Brown has been selected to serve the Richmond homeschool community as our 2021 Graduation Coordinator.

Crickett Brown and her husband, Michael, have been homeschooling since the beginning of their children’s education. They are blessed with five children here on Earth – Erin (25), Holly (23), Claire (20), Wesley (17) and Lydia (13). Crickett’s style of homeschooling leans toward the Charlotte Mason approach, using an eclectic mix of curricula.

Since moving to Virginia in 2003 the Browns have been actively involved in both the local and state homeschool communities. Crickett has organized teaching co-ops, and served homeschool support groups, a local youth theatre, a Keepers at Home group, and a Contenders for the Faith group. Somehow, in addition to homeschooling her own children, Crickett also finds time to serve as the Virginia State Coordinator for TeenPact Leadership Schools, as a Richmond Regional Home Educators board member, and as a leader/consultant to Home School Family Connection support network.
